Jenny was just over 5 feet tall and weighed little, but she was always my big sister. She was, she said, forced to look after me from an early age and took the blame for allowing my misdemeanours, notably climbing out through a porthole while in a ships cabin. She never stopped looking after me though. Her kindness was demonstrated at its’ best, for me, when I damaged my hand and was admitted to Coventry hospital. She visited me every day while I was there and afterwards invited me to stay with her for a couple of weeks to recover, enjoying her company and her exemplary culinary skills. Nothing was too much trouble. She had a huge number of close friends. I see many of you here today. I found it incredible that she found time to keep in touch and converse with all of them, especially given the length of time she could talk. She did the same for the family, being the glue to bring different factions together. If there was ever a big get together, she had probably arranged it. She enjoyed life, found happiness with Dave, did many varied things and achieved a great deal, so I hope she had no regrets. My regret is that she is no longer with us. I miss her.
